MAMAMOO Moonbyul Reveals How SNSD Taeyeon Indirectly Helped Her Become a K-Pop Idol
Recently, MAMAMOO members Moonbyul and Hwasa made a guest appearance on the November 27 episode of tvN's variety show, "Amazing Saturday."
During the episode, it was revealed in the opening that Moonbyul had specifically asked the show's production team if she could sit right next to "Amazing Saturday" cast member and leader of Girls' Generation (SNSD), Taeyeon.

When asked about this, Moonbyul revealed that she has been a longtime fan of the "Weekend" singer. "I am a huge fan of Taeyeon. Even the wallpaper of my phone is a photo of her," Moonbyul said.
She confirms that she did ask the production team to sit her next to Taeyeon, however, she began regretting it as she couldn't see Taeyeon's face well from the spot next to her.

Moonbyul then surprised Taeyeon by revealing that the Girls' Generation member had actually helped the MAMAMOO rapper enter the K-Pop industry - without Taeyeon realizing it!
"I really wanted to become a singer. I had that dream, but I didn't know how to become one [singer]. So what I did was do everything Taeyeon did," Moonbyul began.
She then revealed how she followed in Taeyeon's footsteps, "I went and got vocal lessons from the same place as she did, and also practiced singing using songs by Girls' Generation."
Fellow MAMAMOO member Hwasa chimed in, saying that Moonbyul was shaking so much prior to the episode's recording.
"Moonbyul was shaking so much before we started the recording. She actually never told us that she was a fan of Taeyeon before, so I didn't have an idea that she was nervous meeting Taeyeon," Hwasa said.
Hearing this, Taeyeon praised Moonbyul saying, "Awww. Moonbyul, you have done really well. Good job," while giving the latter a pat on the back.
Taeyeon also added that she is a fan of Moonbyul as well and reveals that she listens to her radio shows.
Moonbyul couldn't help but cry as she listened to Taeyeon's warm words as well!

MAMAMOO Moonbyul Reveals a Solo Album is in the Making
Meanwhile, Moonbyul recently revealed in an interview with Singles Magazine that she is currently working on a new solo album.
"I have been busy these days working on my solo album. I think the album will give me a chance to fully show everyone my emotional and sentimental side," Moonbyul said.
Further details regarding her upcoming album was not revealed.
