IVE Jang Wonyoung Shares Her Thoughts on No Longer Being the Youngest Member of a Group
Recently, former IZ*ONE-turned-IVE member Jang Wonyoung made a guest appearance on the December 8 broadcast of MBC's popular entertainment program, "Radio Star," which also featured guests Jang Do Yeon, Mirage, and Code Kunst.
On this day, Jang Wonyoung talked about her "maknae" (youngest) title, which she had since making her debut in the entertainment industry with IZ*ONE at the young age of 15 years old.
Regarding her thoughts on having the maknae title, Jang Wonyoung said, "I made my debut at the age of 15, so I always had the title of being the youngest attached everywhere. When I started promoting with this title, many people ask me if it's burdensome. But I am rather grateful for that title."
Now that Jang Wonyoung re-debuted as a member of Starship Entertainment's girl group, IVE, the hosts of "Radio Star," Yoo Se Yoon, Kim Gook Jin, Kim Gura, and Ahn Young Mi, asked the former IZ*ONE member if she is still the youngest member of her group.
"I became so used to being with older members, but when I joined IVE, there is a member who is three years younger than I am," Jang Wonyoung said.

Jang Wonyoung continued, "I am not used to treating someone younger than I am, so I want to give them advice and there are things that I want to teach them, but I am worried I will be called some old geezer," making everyone in the studio laugh.
Sometime during the episode, Jang Wonyoung also mentioned how three of the IVE members are over 170cm (5'5") in height and that they aim to become one of the tallest girl groups.

Meanwhile, on another entertainment program, all six members of IVE made a guest appearance on the December 8 episode of MBC every1's variety show "Weekly Idol."
On this day, the six members showed off their stellar performance of their debut song "Eleven," from their single album of the same name.

In addition to their own track, IVE also paid tribute to their sunbaes (seniors) by performing a medley of the hit songs of Starship Entertainment artists.
For the medley, IVE performed Cosmic Girls' "As You Wish" and "Secret," MONSTA X's "Shoot Out," and SISTAR's iconic summer song, "Touch My Body."
IVE also showed some love to other K-Pop artists, such as BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet, NCT U, and more.
