SHINee Key Draws Attention from Morning News Segment for Doing THIS

On May 18, SHINee Key received attention following his most unexpected "cameo" during the broadcast of a morning news segment.

The prophecy of Jeon Hyun Moo that Key will once again appear on a news broadcast finally came true after broadcast of "Trend Plus," a section of MBC's "News Today," which aired on the morning of May 18.

In particular, the segment report with the theme, "The MZ Generation in Love with Pet Plants," was released.

On the data screen, SHINee Key, was seen in the flower market choosing flowers and plants for his house. While choosing his desired ornamental, the male idol even asked:

"Does it work well even if you just plant it in the field at home?"

The news segment also showed that after he bought the flowers, such as tulips in his garden at home, Key also installed a mini-greenhouse with shine muscat and garlic leaf seedlings he planted himself as well.

Apparently, the footages shown in the news segment came from a recent episode of MBC's "I Live Alone," and prior to the news, MC Jeon Hyun Moo predicted the future, saying:

"It'll be on the morning news, the shine muscat craze."

This is not the first time Key has appeared in the morning news.

In April last year, MBC reported that the price of green onions will rise from May, and they used a clip where Key was planting green onions in his house as an example that even celebrities are growing it due to the price hike.

The broadcaster's comment says:

"The price of green onions has soared, so famous celebrities grow green onions at home and eat them."

This immediately sparked laughter from fans and viewers as it was bizarre for a global idol to appear on morning news for such a reason.

Key also made his "cameo" on a news broadcast in 2015 during the release of the Apple Watch, which was trending at that time.

The news wrote the caption:

"Idol group SHINee's Key also lined up to buy it."

Viewers then responded enthusiastically and expressed their delight by leaving comments online, such as:

"It seems that Key is trendy, so he keeps on coming out (the news)."

"But I haven't tried everything that Key did."

"I feel like he became fixed (cast) on 'I Live Alone' to be on the news."

"I'm so happy when Key comes out on the news even if it's too much."

"Jeon Hyun Moo's prediction hit."

Key, 32, debuted as a group SHINee in 2008. He is currently showing his charm by making regular appearances on various entertainment programs tvN's "Amazing Saturday" and MBC's "I Live Alone."
