On May 23, AOA member turned actress Seolhyun drew attention from internet users as she highlighted meaningful phrases from a book and posted them on her Instagram story.
On this day, Seolhyun said:
"It's sweeter to say that living itself is painful, so even if something painful happens, it won't particularly be a pain.
There's no effort in living because it's naturally empty. The world is full of good things and bad things."
The female idol-actress added:
"We did a good job, so it would probably be good. In order to live, Ae-ja says it is better to fill the world with such things."

She continued on the topic of painful living:
"The world is full of resentment, and it is fair to say that living in such a world is just painful. Everyone says they're suffering from it on their own. There is nothing meaningful in the world that is only mortal, mortal, and mortal, and nothing is necessary. There's no need to struggle, as you will only increase the pain."
Lastly, Seolhyun highlighted:
"Other than that, I'm slowly dying, without fun nor meaning. Either way, it's just that after death."

As soon as her Instagram story reached K-pop enthusiasts and internet users, Seolhyun drew worries as she introduced rather extreme and provocative phrases.
The female actress is actually known for sharing passages from books or written materials that captured her eyes while she was reading. In fact, she even has a story highlight specifically for such passages which usually contained the inner thoughts of the idol that she can't put into words.
But this time, netizens are concerned as what the "Miniskirt" singer posted seemed like it contains other meanings.
Fans of the idol actress wrote comments such as:
"What happened?"
"It is stuffy"
"Are you okay, Seolhyun"
"I think you're frustrated (about something)"
"What's wrong with you."
Meanwhile, following the bullying scandal in 2020, AOA, the group to which Seolhyun belongs, is currently on hiatus.
As of the moment, Seolhyun is operating her personal YouTube channel and is focused on her career as an actress. On May 19, her latest drama, "The Killer's Shopping List" just finished airing.
Amid the project, Seolhyun was criticized by some netizens for her visual's quality allegedly decreased compared to when she was actively promoted as an idol. According to the internet user, she's unrecognizable due to her frizzy bangs and old-fashioned outfit.
In response, the female star indirectly explained that her look at that time was actually for her drama, and promoted it instead of calling out her haters.
