SEVENTEEN Wears Matching Rings on Pinky Finger
Recently, a clip of SEVENTEEN member Mingyu that was shared back in June is gaining attention online. In this video, Mingyu was taking part in a photoshoot for SEVENTEEN's promotions for "HOT" and took a short break.
While on his short break from the photoshoot, Mingyu was talking to the camera, where he showed off his pinky finger without any rings on it. He said, "You have never seen my pinky [finger] without our matching [SEVENTEEN] ring, right?"
Mingyu was referring to the matching ring that he and his fellow SEVENTEEN members got customized for themselves to represent their friendship and group.

In fact, every time SEVENTEEN releases a new studio album, they would change their matching rings to a newly customized one. Such a tradition began from the moment SEVENTEEN made their debut in the industry back in May 2015.
And since then, all 13 members in the group puts a ring on the pinky finger of their right hand. And no matter what they do, they don't take off the ring.

With that, some people may have never seen Mingyu with a bare pinky finger. In the video, he then showed off his right hand that didn't have SEVENTEEN's ring and his unusual finger shape!
Mingyu Reveals What Caused His Unusual Finger Shape
Unlike the rest of his fingers, the bottom part of his pinky finger is noticeably thinner than the rest of his finger.
Mingyu explained the reason behind this, saying, "I always got my rings made in a smaller size because I wanted to ensure that it stayed there. Even when I am dancing and moving around a lot."
He added, "I have had the ring on this finger for years but never taken it off. So the part where I put my ring on didn't grow. Hence, this particular shape of my finger."

But now that SEVENTEEN has a new ring, Mingyu shared that he got a bigger size than usual. "But the ring we made this time is much thinner than our usual rings. I also made it a bit bigger than my normal size. I really like this new ring."
Despite the unusual finger shape formed because of his rings, fans couldn't help but have their hearts warmed with how close the SEVENTEEN members are.
