IU Proves 'Lee Taemin x3' Chant Works After Securing Solo Concert's Tickets

On August 25, a new video, titled, "[The ENT office worker Lee Jidong] There were grape kernels not grapes | IU concert ticketing," was uploaded on IUl's official YouTube channel.

There, IU transformed into her office worker alter-ego Lee Jidong, who was tasked to secure concert tickets to have her promotion. She said:

"It's my first time doing ticketing in my life and I'm not usually nervous, but I'm very nervous right now. I prepared IU's pictures and charms, and I think it'll be possible to get as much as I can as long as I stay calm."

Prior to the actual concert ticketing, Lee Jidong (IU) was too immersed in her role and explained:

"The CEO of our company said that if I succeed in ticketing this time, I will be promoted to a super-express level, so I want to take off the junior level at last. We have prepared a lot of things, and we will have a briefing time on how to succeed in ticketing for general reservations."

She then continued how fans, including her, must first of all have to organize the CPU of the computer. Second, they have to unblock the pop-up, as well as set up the keyboard to zero, by looking at the two asterisks.

Out of desperation, Lee Jidong also looked up ways how to successfully book concert tickets and among them, she found the "Lee Taemin x3" viral chant.

"I saw an article that says, 'If I shout Lee Taemin, Lee Taemin, Lee Taemin, there will be no failure in ticketing.' If I shout IU three times, I think the ticketing will go well. Lee Taemin is the one who has public confidence, so I'll shout it out first and IU x3 next."

After chanting, the actual ticketing started and despite clicking it fast, the "Palette" singer was surprised to see that she has been moved to the 24,570th person in the queue.

After about hours of waiting, she finally entered the portal for the selection of ticket seats, but the singer slowly lost enthusiasm after failing to get it even after 30 minutes.

"There's nothing. Another customer is paying. Why isn't the seat coming up? Why can't you buy it when you have money?"

Unexpectedly, after 10 more minutes, she finally succeeded in securing not only one ticket but three!

She proudly said:

"I will give all the honors to myself who worked hard on making PPT materials on how to do it. I also owe this honor to (SHINee) Taemin."

At the end of the video, the phrase saying IU canceled all tickets after the shooting so that even a little more fans could enjoy it was included.

IU to Hold Solo Concert in September After 3 Years

Meanwhile, IU's concert "The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun," will be held at Jamsil Main Stadium on September 17 and 18. The concert is particularly drawing keen attention as it is the first solo concert in three years since her 2019 tour.
