Amid anticipation of BABYMONSTER's debut, the mid-rankings of YG's new girl group were revealed.

Who do you think will definitely join the final lineup?

'BABYMONSTER - Last Evaluation' Unveils Current Top 3 Prospective Final Members

On March 31, YG Entertainment increased the anticipation of K-pop enthusiasts to the debut of its new girl group after posting the video, "BABYMONSTER - Last Evaluation" on its official SNS.

In the clip, the seven trainees competing to secure their position in BABYMONSTER's final lineup held vocal solo missions as well as group dance performances.

During the mission, the seven idols-to-be overwhelmed the eyes of viewers with their version of BLACKPINK's "Don't Know What To Do."

Following their performance, the septet was lauded for their perfect harmony as if they were already a group, but at the same time, their individuality, including their respective dance line, was also recognized.

Not only supporters, but YG's senior artists lauded and cheered for them as well. AKMU Suhyun especially favored Chiquita, Rora and Ahyeon. WINNER Kang Seungyeon admired the trainees' growth and professionalism.

While all seven shone in their own ways, the judges had to rank them based on fair and careful evaluation criteria. As a result, the interim rankings were created.

Among the prospective BABYMONSTER members, Ahyeon, also earning attention as "Little BLACKPINK Jennie," ranked No. 1.

Following her, Chiquita and Pharita, both Thai trainees who were expected to follow in the footsteps of BLACKPINK Lisa, ranked second and third, respectively.

PD Yang Hyun Suk Stresses Not All 7 Will Debut + Reveals Surprise Blind Test Rankings

Currently, the aforementioned trainees are leading the rankings and have the highest possibility to join BABYMONSTER's final lineup.

PD Yang Hyun Suk didn't announce the succeeding members' rankings, but he once again emphasized:

"There is definitely a member who will be eliminated. The final number of members is definitely not seven."

Without break, the third mission was given where the members had to complete a vocal solo evaluation. The surprise blind test was personally conducted by PD Yang.

As a result, Pharita and Chiquita tied for first place, followed by Rora in second place.

Meanwhile, Ahyeon, who ranked No. 1 in the team evaluation, shone in third place with her vocals. Haram, Ruka and Asa then trailed behind them.

Attention is focused now on whether the rankings will continue to the next stage, and on what kind of wind it will cause among the prospective members.

BABYMONSTER is a new girl group set to be launched by YG Entertainment, their first female team about seven years since BLACKPINK.

The preliminary members are three Koreans; Ahyeon, Haram & Rora, two Thai; Pharita & Chiquita and two Japanese; Ruka & Asa. Most of the members are teenagers, yet all of them have "all-rounder" skills, initially unveiled through their individual audition videos.

Although seven trainees were introduced, YG's founder and producer Yang Hyun Suk emphasized that not all will join the final lineup, drawing attention on who will succeed in debuting as BABYMONSTER.
