While MYs celebrated Karina's achievement, fans of Jang Wonyoung expressed their suspicion towards the aespa members' achievement.

Many have come out to accuse the female idol of buying bot followers and Instagram likes. Some have even taken to social media sites such as X (formerly Twitter) for alleged evidence.

Screen recordings and screenshots of supposed bot accounts were spread online, with many accusing either Karina or her label, SM Entertainment, of buying her followers to earn her the "most-followed" title.

In response to the allegations, Karina's fans took to social media to defend the idol. They noted that there are also thousands of bot accounts that are following Jang Wonyoung on Instagram and liking her posts.

Additionally, MYs researched and discovered that Jang Wonyoung has a higher percentage of bot followers and interactors than Karina.

Several days have passed, and the two fans are still at each other's throats. Despite that, neither Karina, Jang Wonyoung, nor their labels have responded to the allegations.
