On March 19, 2024, various videos and images of a barista working at a small café in Japan were shared on various social media platforms and in South Korean online communities.

This small rural café is located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, and attracts a huge crowd of customers every weekend. The rural café is only open on weekends, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a very brief period.

The reason this rural café with such short operating hours has become a hot topic is largely due to the appearance of the male barista.

Takano Ren, the barista and owner of the café who makes various drinks and desserts, has drawn attention with his appearance strikingly similar to that of BTS member V.

Born in 1999, Takano Ren operates another café and coworking space on weekdays besides the café in question.
